About David Frutos
David Frutos Ruiz was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on 11-12-1973 and lives between Murcia and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He graduated in Information Sciences with a specialization in Visual and Auditory Image, Complutense University, Madrid, 1999.
He is primarily engaged in architecture photography and owns all the necessary equipment to meet technical and aesthetic standards of this photography branch. Among his methods, he uses a large format digital camera, Cambo Wide DS, with 6 digital, wide image circle lens and a Leaf Aptus 75 digital support.
He owns a photography studio designed by architect Enrique Nieto. Founding partner of BisImages portal dedicated to managing photographic collections of architecture in publications around the world. www.bisimages.com
His current web site is www.davidfrutos.com and holds over 4000 photographs. He has photographed over 600 buildings in Spain. Head of the Photography Section at ”Catálogos de Arquitectura” magazine with which he has made the last 13 numbers. His publishing career is supported by more than 400 publications in magazines and books worldwide.
In 2009 he was awarded for his photographs in collaboration with advertising agency Communication Germinal a Gold Laus, a Silver Laus and a Bronze Laus in other campaigns. In 2009 he obtained a Silver Laus with F33 agency.
He also teaches and has carried out various exhibitions.

Urban house with summer memories. Can the Mediterranean style have a new reading? Can an urban house offer a summer atmosphere without falling into aesthetic topics?
The inhabitants, a couple, their two children, and two cats, Metro and Milla, had acquired a house from 1960, with numerous rooms and long corridors that in no way reflected their way of life.
We built MYM house with simple things; local materials, creativity, innovation, beauty, love, and memories. Drawn by the environment which shapes and measures us.
The project begins with the search of aspects related to a forest that can be applied to the design of this single-family house with two floors: vegetation, growth over time, large spaces, introverted spaces or overhead lighting, among others.
Located in the Mediterranean coast, this property is the result of the family need to expand the holiday residence. This Mediterranean beach house is fresh, cozy and illuminated, essential qualities to rest and disconnect during holidays.
This minimalist Spanish duplex is surrounded by five-storey blocks of flats and, consequently, the lack of privacy on the terraces, which would restrict extended use of these, worried the client.
This light-flooded penthouse wants to recreate a pleasant, special space. A space of enjoyment but, at the same time, versatile and flexible. A small break in the heights. Therefore, it has been organized in a diaphanous way, allowing our clients to organize and take advantage of it according to their needs.
After the initial ideas, we did a deep reflection between what the Concretus house should be on its own, and what it would be because of the place in which it’s framed, an impressive natural landscape facing the sea with a balcony looking over the Mediterranean.
