This major renovation transforms a 1950s split-level house into a two-storey, all-electric, multi-generational home. And it was all designed without the need for an addition.
We were commissioned to deliver a bespoke home gym for a family in Tandridge, Surrey. The existing home was located in a greenbelt so we designed a transparent structure that both minimised its impact on the greenbelt whilst maximising the stunning views.
From the inside, this high position turns the Duna apartment into a watchtower open to the landscape in the distance, and with a connection to the immediate surroundings it also allows the outside to be introduced inside.
The Point house is situated behind an existing bungalow and on what was previously an empty backyard. The 665m2 site’s point of difference in its suburban context is a rear boundary that adjoins a community reserve
Perched on a rock halfway up a mountain the studio is a reward for those willing to make the hike. The plan plays with the idea of a square within a larger square. The double-height space holds a suspended sleeping platform reached by retractable ladder.
In the family since the 1970s, this Vail Condo accommodates a large extended family. The three-story, 2,650-square-foot unit offers breathtaking views and reflects the owner’s love of family and skiing.
