This Central London apartment has been meticulously reconfigured to create an open-plan living and dining room that fully embraces the natural light of its south-facing aspect. Formerly a tired and outdated space, the property has been transformed into a sophisticated yet functional home. The new layout maximizes light and creates a sense of spaciousness, ideal for the clients who were downsizing from a larger property.
Like many central London apartments, it is situated in a portered, well-organized Mansion Block. The main challenge was the functional issue of building the project, with every item carefully moved through the building corridors and down a service lift to the busy road below. It took patience, organization, communication, time, and careful work by the contractor, Margreiter, to achieve this.
Key features include concealed storage solutions, refined panel beading that adds an elegant touch, and a spacious second bedroom that doubles as a study. The kitchen showcases smoked glass cabinetry with quartzite surfaces, offering a luxurious contrast to the suspended brass accents that provide a touch of warmth and modernity.
The bedrooms emphasize comfort and tranquillity, featuring soft fabrics in muted tones with subtle panel details. This attention to detail carries throughout the design, with MWAI’s trademark craftsmanship visible in the precision of stone setting, panel beading, and tiling.
Collaborating with Margreiter and DOIG Furniture, the Regents Park Apartment seamlessly blends style with function, creating a home that is both luxurious and practical for city living.
