A high-end loft extension maximising the properties potential by adding a fourth bedroom, dressing room and bathroom to a family home in Essex. The aim was to create a sleek luxurious retreat for the homeowners while adding an extra 25sqm of habitable space.
One of the biggest challenges of this project was the small dimensions of the place and the already consolidated surroundings. There so, the relations between scale and proportion were since the beginning a main concern.
The design of the West Los Angeles Residence begins with the story of its inhabitants. Two families had become one, and they needed a space that could meet the needs of their new family.
