The Appartement 108 is a living place for a passionate of design in the heart of Paris. The flat is composed by a living room with a protagonist brushed brass kitchen. The night area is separated by rotative bookcases from a bright bathroom.
The terrain that slopes gently towards the sea is typical of Cap Ferret: a small forest of strawberry tree, yucca and pines. The challenge was to design a modern holiday house that would exist in harmony with its surrounding landscape and have a limited impact on the existing vegetation.
The project is located on the west coast of France, in the Cotentin region, where came waves of vikings from the 9th century. FREAKS has been commissioned to refurbish a preexisting concrete fishing shack built in the 50’s on a rock, on the beach, facing the sea.
