The Portsea beach house is a response to a wonderfully simple brief to create an elegant and practical family beach house. This family holiday home is located on the former rear yard of a historical school building in Portsea on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
The House in El Torón is the first to be designed within this reserve, and its conception emerged from two premises that enabled us to question and rethink the idea of a house on the coast.
The Reef House brief was for a family holiday home for a Mum, her three adult sons and their eventual families. The site has extensive sea views from the northeast to the south and overlooks the rocky beach break of Daniels Reef.
Island Rest is our response to our client’s brief for a contemporary family holiday home. Situated on a beautiful Isle of Wight creek, ‘Island Rest’ sits on a spacious site with direct access to the water and views of the Solent beyond.
Z House is an alpine holiday home, a place to live an intense relationship with nature and the mountains. The site on which the house is placed is a complex place with a steep slope, access uphill, a few buildings around and full of panoramic “frameworks”.
The Aculco project is a low-impact holiday home surrounded by nature in the middle of nowhere. It is the ideal place to get some rest from modern living in a natural environment, that has some impressive cliffs close by.
The brief was simple, small, elegant and to create the modern bach. The bach consists of two wings separated by a covered outdoor space that gives shelter from sun and rain and creates the indoor-outdoor bach feel.
The Fish Creek House was designed to maximize sustainability & liveability. Careful positioning takes full advantage of natural cooling, heating, and lighting.
