The Yarmouk house is contemporary home to two brothers and their families. The house is located in Kuwait City. The volume is divided in the center of the plot into two identical units housing the independent quarters of each of the two families.
Designed for an uncluttered and relaxed family life the Sticks and Stones Home layout is very simple and quite cartesian in plan except for one sinuous wall overhanging the driveway. Every room opens to a terrace or the garden through large glass doors that slide on ball bearings; one can step outside without noticing the thresholds.

Despite some bungalow-style additions to its verandah, the street-facing south elevation of this Parnell cottage/villa remained largely faithful to the original 1890s form. The living level opens up completely to the view and garden, allowing occupants to enjoy the site’s raw, untamed natural beauty.
