Directed by an existing structure, we tried to make the project assimilate this structural interferences in a natural way in its external volume: the unevenness on the front facade was further accentuated by metal vertical louvers that help in the composition of the facade.

A traditional apartment, a young couple and a big desire of living modern. To buy a house is always a complicated moment, where desires and compromises often clash, where budget and expectations don’t always correspond.
Little remained of the original grandeur but its elegant proportions of the Edwardian style. It was decided to divide the house in two, with the private areas confined to the original upper levels and the public areas to the new rear addition. It was important that two areas were clearly separated and could be seen on entry through the house.
