In a listed building in the heart of Tel aviv, 300 meters from the beach, two designer sisters from Studio Perri has designed two adjacent apartments, that were originally divided into four small apartments.
The Charm Townhouse, owned by the Charm-Long Family, has been designed in the historic neighborhood of Neve Tzedek, Tel-Aviv, as an addition to an existing old house originally built at the beginning of the last century.
A contemporary duplex apartment in a new, residential building. The central idea behind the design was the creation of visual link between the floors (15th and 16th), to reinforce the vertical relationships and transform the cross sections of the spaces into more important and significant elements.
The Ramat Hasharon residence was planned for a couple holding senior positions, who decided to move their offices to their home so as to be with their young children throughout the day.
The rooms making up this Old Jaffa house came together over hundreds of years – each with its own character and ground level. Refurbishing presented an opportunity to unite the rooms into one whole and in particular, to illuminate and brighten the dim space by opening it up toward the sea.
The size of the lot is approximately half a dunam; the area of the Herzliya house is about 320 square meters.
Inspired by two-dimensional graphic design, the King David apartment contains graphic elements such as a custom-made lamp in the living room which “climbs” up the wall in straight angles, white tile cladding with colorful grout in two bathrooms, thus creating grid-like graphic compositions.
