Montalba Architects, the Santa Monica-based architecture firm behind notable projects including Headspace’s headquarters, The Row Melrose and multiple Equinox locations, recently completed a Southern California single-family residence designed to meld together indoor and outdoor programs by tethered courtyards and gardens.
The owners came to Dalecki Design with a cottage that was tired and run down. It was lacking all the mod cons and was becoming too small for the growing family. The brief was to extend this humble Mosman Park cottage to accommodate their need for more space
The Shelter Island pool house was designed as a retreat and relaxation space for a busy mother and daughter duo. The footprint of the building is minimal – large enough to entertain some guests, but small enough to remain intimate when just two or three people are using the space.
Located in East Texas, Aegean Pool House is sited on a hilltop overlooking a peaceful lake, surrounded by densely shaded pine forest. This weekend home is designed as an escape from urban life and emphasizes strong connections to nature and a sense of place.
The house is designed for a young family of four, located in Bahçeköy, Istanbul. The main motive of our concept is to have capaciously open spaces for living areas and link the interior with the exterior through large Windows and terraces.
These 2 new buildings – Pavilions within a Garden – have an honesty and restraint creating calm and restful spaces which compliment and enhance their setting.
