Malvern Garden House is a highly-considered adaption of an existing 1930’s period home in a hilly suburban pocket, with a new pavilion embedded within the terraced garden to the rear.
Located in a magnificent, park-like setting filled with mature, 80-foot-tall oak trees, the Oak Woodland House meets the clients’ desire for a family home that is casual, stylish, functional, and adaptable.
Villa K is organised around a raised ‘viewing platform’ which is slightly pushed into the top of a hill. The design of the house is a response to both the plot and the amazing surrounding views.

The main footprint of the old house has been respected and the new contemporary family house takes on the memory of its original form while, refining the detail and layout of the spaces.
Taylor Smyth Architects and Cecconi Simone collaborated on the design of the house, with the sophisticated interiors custom designed by Cecconi Simone to incorporate bronze privacy screens, stone, wood paneling and built-in millwork.
