The project is about dividing a large old flat into three luxury apartments as an investment real state operation in Madrid. This would usually mean that creativity is out of the game. “The more originality, the less chance of success in the market”, they say.
The first challenge was to transform an old gloomy floor into a bright house. The change of distribution and the new orientation of the common areas that now cross the entire floor, allows light to cross from one end to the other.
This minimalist Spanish duplex is surrounded by five-storey blocks of flats and, consequently, the lack of privacy on the terraces, which would restrict extended use of these, worried the client.
In summary, from the client’s predetermined conventional organization, the Villarroel apartment proposes adding layers of complexity to the interior experience of the house, adding ambiguity to the classic labels of each room, as well as to the way they relate to each other, so that all this will eventually translate into greater spatial richness.
This project consisted of the integral renovation of a large 130 m² apartment located just 50 metres from the beach. The Calella de Palafrugell apartment is located in Costa Brava, Spain.
The Vineyard Cottage project pursues a monolithic image of the materials so it can express, in the same inner and outer way, a means to achieve essentiality. Thus, both the concrete shell and the wooden boxes are presented in the same way inside and out, preserving materiality and texture.
Luxury single family home, new build, located in the heart of the Baix Empordà area. The house has 5 large suites, each with their own full bathroom. The main suite has a surface of 53 m², with a bedroom, bathroom and dressing room and offers magnificent views of the garden and the swimming pool, with access to the same.
The name of the KINZA cafe displays a culinary direction, combining spices and herbs of Spain, France and Bali. It is worth paying due attention to the choice of location, since the institution is located in the corner part of the street, where there is constant traffic, and the number of people wishing to visit the new place was already considerable even during the shooting of the object.
