Nestled in the hill country along Redbud Trail, this contemporary Texas home sits on top of a ridge and is defined by its views. The drop-off in the sloping terrain is enhanced by a low-slung building form, creating its own drama through expressive angles in the living room and each bedroom as they turn to face the landscape.
Located an hour east of Toronto, Ganaraska house occupies a 65-acre site amidst the peaceful green fields of this Southwestern Ontario agricultural region, adjacent to a large conservation forest.
The Wedge house is a custom family home located in the eastern suburbs of Athens, in the mountainous and full of pine trees area of Pikermi, named Drafi. The site is quite distinctive and has many challenging features. The main complexity is the steep terrain with an almost 20-meter- height-difference from one side of the site to the other.
The AMB House is situated on the coast of São Paulo, Guaruja City in the middle of the Atlantic Forest. From the street you can only see one of the three floors of the house because the terrain has accentuated slopes that give different views of an almost untouched natural landscape.
The new system of this Italian stone house stands on ancient remains dating back to Medieval Communes. Linked to each other on the hypogeum level, the structures rest on a red concrete platform (38 X 20 mt) dominating the surrounding landscape.
Beautifully situated on a rise overlooking Lake Calhoun, this dynamic modern home was designed to maximize views of the lake and the downtown skyline. In response to the deep urban lot, the house is set back from the street with three pavilions interconnected by transparent garden spaces.
The Carrillo Residence occupies a long narrow site on the rim of Santa Monica Canyon with distant views of the Pacific Ocean. Designed for a young couple with two children, the house strikes a balance between the needs of the family and taking advantage of the Southern California climate and views.
