This project took a space in an early 19th century building that’s been a textile mill, a Campbell’s soup factory, and finally a condo complex, and tailored it to the clients’ personalities.
This ancient barn, which now sits near a secondary residence, had outlived its usefulness and was going to ruin. Wishing to save it from an impending loss, the owner decided to convert it into a house for his children: a gathering place to celebrate.
This penthouse is located next to the waterfront in Old Montreal. Our client approached us to completely redo the two stories of his condo.
Pierced with light on its flanks, the Artist Workshop is oriented towards the north and the views onto the lake. Spacious but intimate, the interior volume accommodates large formats of paintings. The minimalist play of surfaces and the rigor of the alignments put the artist’s work in scene and supports his concentration.
