This beautiful project began when Moscow-based YouTuber Viktor Viden, creator of the “Room Tourist” channel, decided to gather inspiration from spectacular homes across Russia—each with its own unique beauty or fascinating story. His dream of designing a personal space led him to explore new horizons abroad.
A New Horizon in Barcelona
For his latest channel episodes, Viktor chose Barcelona, Spain. Meanwhile, at Ritual Lifestyle Interior Design, we received an invitation from the “Room Tourist” production team to film an episode in the homes of some of our clients. We were honored by the opportunity and gladly accepted.
The Genesis of Viktor Viden House
After the Barcelona shoot, Viktor surprised us by proposing that we design his new home in Moscow. Thus, the Viktor Viden House project was born—a unique opportunity to venture into international design while creating a space that reflects the personality and creative vision of a dynamic influencer.
Understanding Viktor’s Vision
Our first step was to quickly understand Viktor’s daily rituals, stylistic tastes, and lifestyle. We soon discovered that he owns a wallpaper factory, Wallstreet Studio, which became a pivotal element in our design strategy. Our goal was not only to craft a beautiful and impactful home but also to incorporate Wallstreet Studio’s innovative products in a fresh, exciting way.
An Experimental Design Laboratory
Determined to push creative boundaries, we transformed the project into an experimental laboratory of design. We integrated a wide array of decorative finishes—ranging from large-format prints on tiles, wallpapers, glass, and even carpets—to create a space that is both visually stunning and rich with narrative.
Design Pillars
The project was built on three key pillars:
- Innovative Decorative Finishes: A blend of diverse materials and textures that capture Viktor’s eclectic style.
- Mediterranean-Inspired Materials: Incorporating elements such as clay walls, glazed ceramic lattice work, and carefully selected Italian and Spanish ceramics.
- Personal Expression: A space that reflects Viktor’s vibrant, optimistic, and transformative character—sophisticated yet relaxed, daring yet expressive.
Illumination that Elevates
A meticulously crafted lighting design ties the project together. By creating intimate, warm atmospheres with subtle illumination and dramatic chiaroscuro, we enhanced the emotional ambiance and highlighted the diverse materials and textures throughout the home.
