Designed by the real estate developer Lyon Porter, Urban Cowboy B&B brings back in the limelight the cowboy adventurer spirit and the pleasant feeling of some tougher times but with some particular fragrance. Located in the Williamsburg neighborhood from Brooklyn, New York, this location is designed to provide a moment of calmness and serenity in the middle of Brooklyn, to offer its visitors a peaceful retreat and a celebration of the traditional local food.
The interior design is conceived by Renee Mee and it is a discrete and harmonious combination of industrial elements with rustic sights, which give a touch of romance. Urban Cowboy has four bright and airy rooms, landscaped and decorated tastefully, after a concept passed through the prism of some peasant hospitality and of some local sensitivity.
Developed in an old family house, Urban Cowboy harbours something warm from the atmosphere of a home, a place that gives you the feeling that each object, be it an old chest or a carpet wove at home has a story to tell.
The owner’s care and love seem to head towards the simple and unsophisticated beauty, to the pieces of furniture and decor items that hold sentimental value. Moreover, Lyon Porter and Renee Mee have relied on furnishing recovered architecture pieces, reconditioned decors and second-hand furniture.
In the backyard of the house Kanoono Cabin is located, an Adirondack style Cabin with a bit of Western American Indian Flare, body with a separate entrance and arranged separately from the main building.
