The design of this home arose out of a series of site challenges and constraints. The one-acre property and existing home sat within a protected area of the Santa Monica Mountains.
Designed by T.K. Chu Design, Villa Homespun Philosophy is a high-end project of China Railway Construction Real Estate. The project is only six meters away from the Humble Administrator’s Garden in Suzhou, a World Heritage Site featuring miniature landscapes and abundant waterscapes.

The Mushroom-Formed Wood House is located in a pine forest. Thus handling the relationship between nature and the architecture became the essential approach of our design.
