This project situated in the old historical town of Foz do Douro, in the City of Porto, seeks to rejuvenate one of the typical old houses in the area and to adapt it to current needs.
Built by a developer, the house lacked personality and the space was used inefficiently. Butler Armsden focused on aesthetic and functionality, starting with small updates such as built-ins, furniture, and new paint colors
The existing building is of a common type, a pair of purpose-built flats in a two-storey, terraced, Edwardian house, with one flat on the ground floor and the other on the first.
