The retreat’s asymmetrical shape and grey stucco exterior give it a monolithic appearance with sharp, angular edges. This design choice evokes the essence of a climbing block, seamlessly blending the structure with its rugged surroundings.
The façade features irregularly arranged openings that resemble climbing holds. These openings guide the eye upwards, mimicking the experience of a climbing route. As a result, the building not only serves as a shelter but also as an extension of the climbing environment, enhancing the immersive experience for its guests.
Seamless Integration of Indoor and Outdoor Spaces
Upon entering Blok Rustic Retreat through the truncated corner of the volume, visitors are greeted by sheltered outdoor spaces.
