Summer is just around the corner, and the Catalan coast has always been one of the places where comfort and architecture come together to create engaging and exciting projects. This is the case of Casa GavĂ  Mar, the apartment conceived by Aleksandr Vashurkin Architect-Designer where the protagonist is Tonelli Design, an Italian brand that is a world icon for high-end glass furniture. A fascinating setting where white is combined with the beauty of transparencies creating a unique and striking combination. Mirrors and tables fit perfectly into a home whose style was inspired by contemplation of the surrounding elements: white sand, blue sea and emerald garden surrounding this private residence.

The Glass Design by Tonelli / Holiday apartment project

Simplicity, calm and peace: these were the main requirements when creating the interior design of a house in Gava Mar (Barcelona, Spain), which only emphasised the proximity of this house to the Mediterranean seaside area. Creating visual comfort, when nothing interferes with the viewer’s gaze and does not distract from admiring the surrounding nature and garden, reverently created around the house. Large window openings allow the outdoors to “penetrate” into the interior and bring the residents into contact with nature and the enchanting surroundings. The natural materials used in the decoration, such as grey stone and natural oak, as well as the simple shapes and straight lines, help to release emotions, creating a calm and serene atmosphere.
The white surfaces, like a blank canvas, only highlight the decorative interior design elements and unique furniture, which, as precious architectural and spatial elements, create a comfortable atmosphere and a sense of originality in combination with each other, complementing and balancing the functional areas. Mirrors, polished metal and glazed surfaces brought the feeling of water and air into the interior. The state-of-the-art steam fireplace painted the interior and added technology and excitement; the interior was filled with life and colour.

Each zone flows and resounds with the others, everything, as in wildlife, is interconnected and inseparable, balanced and comfortable. In the lounge areas on the upper floors, the predominance of natural wood furniture has allowed the presence of a living forest to be perceived, while the open views to the sea and the garden have extended the spaces towards an infinite horizon through floor-to-ceiling windows. The fresh air and spaciousness are like falling asleep in a summer forest.

Tonelli’s used products:

Joliet side table

Joliet, the sofa side table created by designer Giulio Mancini is characterised by a metal supporting structure, available in chrome, gunmetal or matt black or white lacquered versions.
The transparent, extra-clear or smoked glass top fits perpendicularly, creating an interesting space underneath to be exploited to the full. The two different heights make the Joliet sofa side table perfect both in a daily context, such as the living room, and in night areas, in the bedside version.

Plinsky coffee table

The Plinksy coffee table has been designed by Giulio Mancini, who characterises it for its striking, almost futuristic shapes, suitable for modern and minimalist environments and furnishings. Plinsky is a low table in metal, available in the versions chromed, gunmetal, painted in white or matt black, with transparent, extra-clear or smoked tempered glass top.

Miles dining table

Among the furniture complements created by designer Giulio Mancini, the Miles high table is perfect for ultra-modern environments where simplicity and refined lines dominate.
The tempered glass top of this high table can be completed with designer chairs or stools, and can be ordered in a transparent, extraclear or smoked version. It rests on 4 supports that raise it from the metal structure painted in white, black, chrome or gunmetal.

Guidoriccio mirror

Guidoriccio is a mirror made up of stackable modular elements. Its special feature is the frame, which consists of a black wooden back panel that surrounds the reflecting elements and makes the entire parallelepiped-shaped composition three-dimensional. The star of the project is the frame, consisting of a black wooden back panel that surrounds the reflective elements and makes the entire parallelepiped-shaped composition three-dimensional. The elements that make up the mirror are modular and stackable.
