Nautical House by Pinheiro Martinez Arquitetura is a contemporary beach residence located on the northern coast of Bahia, Brazil. Designed as a tropical family retreat, the home offers a relaxed atmosphere where the beauty of the ocean meets modern comfort. With five bedrooms and generous social areas, it provides ample space for family and friends to enjoy both leisure and connection.
A Tropical Refuge for Family and Friends
The architects envisioned a house that captures the essence of coastal living while maintaining a sophisticated, contemporary aesthetic. Open layouts and large windows create a seamless connection between the interior and the lush surroundings. Natural ventilation, abundant daylight, and soft textures establish a sense of calm, making the home an inviting refuge after days spent by the sea.

A Design Inspired by the Sea
The concept focused on creating a vibrant and colorful environment filled with beach-inspired elements. Soft blues, sandy tones, and natural woods echo the colors of the coast, while artisanal décor pieces enhance the sense of place. Outdoor living takes center stage in this project. The expansive terrace and pool area open to views of the surrounding landscape, while the interior transitions smoothly to exterior decks shaded by palm trees. The architects designed every opening to capture breezes and frame glimpses of tropical vegetation, strengthening the home’s connection to nature.
