The design and implementation of this 880 square meter villa is the achievement of how ACE Design succeeds in creating the “ideal home”.
The presented challenge was to design two single-family dwellings and two accessory dwelling units, each with private outdoor spaces and parking, all on a compact footprint to fit a tight urban lot.
Aurora Design tried to draw inspiration from tea culture which enjoys a history of thousands of years to present a new design idea, hoping to create a new brand image for Jin Tea Space and convey a modern interpretation of a store rooted in traditional tea culture.
The renovation of a historic building in Vila Nova de Foz Côa by the architect Filipe Pina, using slate and shale as the main elements, creates a new contemporary home that respects the city’s history.
In Santa Marinha we had to make three entrances. I don’t remember doing anything like that, although that’s what we enjoy the most – drawing the entrance, and also drawing the terrain. And it is always the most difficult delivery.
This project – a 15’ wide, 3-story wood frame row house from the early 1900s located in Brooklyn – was completely overhauled for a young family whose relationship to home, work, school, and child care has shifted over the last few years.
At times, all that is required for a unique living experience and powerful living space is to adopt a design approach that is different from the standard. The owners of this property in central Israel did just that.
