The Branch Residence is located on a one acre-lot in the hills of Montecito. The property originally held a 1960’s ranch house with native Coastal Live Oaks in the back yard.
The design employs a large canopy structure, economically constructed but carefully proportioned and detailed, to provide for a series of outdoor living spaces arranged around a large central courtyard.
Located above Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle, with a stunning view overlooking Elliot Bay, this condo had a great location and a great view, but the interior was wall-to-wall beige, from carpets to cabinets and everything in between.
This vintage rambler sits in a 1960’s builder’s subdivision, and had not been touched. Guiding the design were classic modernist principals espoused by Mid-Century greats like Richard Neutra and Joseph Eichler.
The Knoll Retreat was designed to have a strong presence, but not overwhelm the site. We let the land, views, and trees shape it and create a framework for intertwined interior and exterior rooms.
The apartment was built for a family, a couple and two young children. The Qbik Loft included a selection of finishing materials. In addition, we have designed solid furniture: kitchen, bathrooms, wardrobes.
The structural design exposed on the facade continues its narrative inside the AMRA7 Apartment. The demolition of the ceiling revealed the beauty of the modular concrete beam grid system. T
Villa K is organised around a raised ‘viewing platform’ which is slightly pushed into the top of a hill. The design of the house is a response to both the plot and the amazing surrounding views.
