Pontinha is a peripheral area of Lisbon, characterised by anonymous residential buildings, built mostly in the 1980s. Our project sought to adapt an apparently uninteresting apartment into a decent contemporary living area.
This renovation and rear addition to the architect’s own 1950 mid-century modern house, designed by Charles Goodman, included 2 phases. The existing Goodman structure was renovated 5 years ago, with new kitchen, bathroom, finishes, windows, mechanical, and electrical.
Maya Sheinberger Interior Design Studio recently completed this 120 square meter apartment in the heart of the northern neighborhood of Tel Aviv. The apartment was designed and customized to the requirements of the clients before the beginning of construction.
The house is designed for a young family of four, located in Bahçeköy, Istanbul. The main motive of our concept is to have capaciously open spaces for living areas and link the interior with the exterior through large Windows and terraces.
Responsive to both site conditions and programmatic needs, the Lake Joseph cottage was an exercise in finding an alternative to the “bigger is better” trend that is currently dominating cottage design.
This renewed Edwardian House respects its architectural past, minimizes invasive demolition and offers fun, bright atmospheres to help today’s youthful home owners juggle their family and lifestyle needs.
Located on a small lot in Downtown Toronto, the owners of this new three storey residence desired a peaceful urban retreat, purposefully tailored to nurture and enhance a close communal family life and their enjoyment of the outdoors.
