The Pinwheel Residence is a 7,000 sq ft home and guest house located on a 1.4 acre lot in central Austin’s Tarrytown neighborhood. Designed around an equilateral triangle, the house is organized into three programmatic wings that radiate from a central conversation pit, negotiating the 30′ of grade on the property.
The Delta house is situated on a seemingly lost and unusual triangular lot in Tielt but it is actually very well-oriented from a commercial point of view.
Space Architecture + Design designed and built the newest Kaldi’s store, located in the Gerhart building in St. Louis’ mid-town neighborhood. Kaldi’s new location is convenient to Saint Louis University, residents of mid-town, and everyone who travels along the busy Vandeventer corridor just off highway 40.
In the case of this Hyde Park house, the client enjoys great success in the entertainment world. Whilst showcasing the intelligence and sophistication behind the exuberance, I was compelled to reflect his stage personality in his home.
On a dramatic mountain site high above the Napa Valley, we approached the project with a reverence for this particular protected land, and a strong prioritization of its multiple sensory experiences.
The Switchback House is a prototype for the new urban family, inverting the traditional row house in two primary ways. One, by replacing a stacked stair with a switchback stair, and two, inserting a dramatic skylight directly above the new vertical stair volume.
A new sweet design shop opened its doors in Stavros, a seaside village in Chalkidiki. It’ s trademark metallic facade resembling melting chocolate, has already become an attraction point for the tourists and local residents where they can enjoy handmade waffles, cookies and cupcakes.
This old clay timbered house is located in rural Heers, Belgium. The house was completed renovated by Brussels-based Burobill studio.
