We were engaged to design a new four bedroom farmhouse on an existing 280 acre family farm in a remote area of northeastern Pennsylvania. The owners chose a piece of land in a meadow on the edge of a hedgerow.

The Two Halves House on Silverwattle Drive is divided in to two pavilions of exactly the same size. The upper level pavilion houses the sleeping areas, whilst the lower level is the kitchen, meals, living spaces and garage.
In the Papagayo peninsula, placed on the tip of an seaward pointing, and slightly downward sloping ridge of a peninsular shaped lot, with forest on both sides ( one a natural reserve), is the house named Indios Desnudos.
The Serra Barn house takes advantage of the naturally sloping site to organize its contents across two levels. To the east, a two-story element contains the entry, kitchen, and dining spaces, with children’s bedrooms above.
