Kinza Cafe in San Sebastian / Azovskiy Pahomova Architects

The name of the KINZA cafe displays a culinary direction, combining spices and herbs of Spain, France and Bali. It is worth paying due attention to the choice of location, since the institution is located in the corner part of the street, where there is constant traffic, and the number of people wishing to visit the new place was already considerable even during the shooting of the object.

In order to preserve the grandfathered zoning proximity to the water, the exterior of the Georgica Pond house had to remain in tact. This transitional building type, a softer form of modernism is comprised of curving walls clad inside and out with vertical siding and floor-to-ceiling glass.

The concept of 180 Samui villa started with the analysis of this particular site: A breath-taking view to Chaweng bay (KohSamui, Thailand) and a massive rock where the project has to hang on. The result is a horizontal design, low rooflines and a simple color and material palette to make the space belong to the environs.
