Greenacres is Austin Maynard Architects first completed project in New South Wales. Unable to save the original dilapidated house, a new home was constructed on the steep block, a topography that set new and exciting challenges.
While considering the client’s brief of a two-bedroom, two-bathroom house, our design managed to reduce the overall footprint of the brick veneer house and provide generous flowing living spaces with deep connection to the natural suburban landscape and the heritage of the existing house.

Featuring open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas on the ground and lower-ground floors, Elfort Road House has been transformed from dark and cluttered into light and spacious.
Abbotsford House by Windiate Architects reinvents a heritage-listed Melbourne brick home with a two-story rear extension tailored to a wine-collecting, bike-loving couple. Moreover, this project balances storage for a thousand bottles and eight bicycles with respect for overshadowing, bulk, and privacy constraints in an inner-city overlay area.
