Porto Covo is an interior design project for a guesthouse in Porto Covo, Alentejo. The aim of the project is to emphases the characteristics of the place and it relation with the surroundings.
This minimalist red house, as well as the adjacent farm building, were designed to minimise building times and costs and to privilege energy sustainability.
Casa dos Abraços is situated in the fishing village of Ferragudo, Algarve, Southern Portugal. The historic center of Ferragudo is an extremely sensitive area to work and we believe that our intervention should be balanced harmonious and above all integrate with the surrounding architecture.
Villa GK was built by request of a private client, who was looking to renovate his old Algarvian villa. Result of this intervention is a minimalist contemporary house which responds to the owners view on quality of life, privacy and sustainable living.
Casa dos Patios project aimed to refurbish an eighteenth-century urban villa, located in one of the most charismatic streets of the city center, featured by a mixture of commerce, services and housing uses.
The Coimbra house makes up for its small size by connecting spaces. It seizes the exterior of both the garden and patio, incorporating them through the continuity of the elements. The interiors follow one another, link and relate visually.
The Travessa Dom Vasco apartment occupies the last floor of a mid-20th-century building, refurbished in the 80’s. The flat is split into two levels: the one below – an ordinary residence; the one above – a terrace of scarce use, where an informal storage construction is placed.
The challenge would then be to combine the overall design of the apartments simultaneously with the desire to have a garden and a view in his home. The private connection between the two floors is made by elevator, while the stairs are shared with the occupants of the middle floors.
