The owner’s period, one-bedroom garden flat was tired, outdated and suffered from a compromised layout. The uninsulated bathroom, located to the rear of the house, could only be accessed by walking through the kitchen.
The Mill House is a Grade II listed property located in Shalford village Conservation Area. The house is set within a generous 6-acre plot with stunning views adjacent to ‘Shalford Mill’, an 18th Century watermill with Grade II * listing.
Faber were appointed to create a new bar and restaurant at Aston Marina in Stone, Staffordshire. Working with the owners of the marina, we helped them to develop a strategy, branding and venue to create a ‘foodie destination’.Â

This project is a richly textured transformation of an end of terrace property in the De Beauvoir Conservation area. It was built for a young family. The De Beauvoir house is located in the middle of a specific row of terrace buildings on the junction of two roads.
