The Nebo house is conceived as a layered, volumetric foreground to distant mountain formations splayed across the landscape. Set within the foothills of the Appalachian range, the site is long and narrow with a dramatic slope down to a lake.
The Indiana Street House was designed for and inspired by the site that is in this neighborhood. The historic Pinckney Neighborhood is a comfortable older neighborhood well-connected to the heart of Lawrence, Kansas.
Reduction Residence thoughtfully distills open and private environments to create a serene family dwelling. While the overall layout of the home stayed intact, we removed extraneous interior walls to create more open spaces.

Set between saltmarshes and bedrock beach, Maine Coast House is a multigenerational residence for a retired couple with grown children. The original brief asked for a sculptural home that juxtaposes rather than conforms to the landscape.
The Shoreland Overlook Residence utilizes the siting of a prior home, minimizing the impact on the forested site and nearby wetlands. No trees were removed to create a view, maintaining root systems for erosion control.
