The Las Lomas Residence is envisioned in two distinct elements; the “frame” which defines the public realm and main living areas, while the limestone clad volumes enclose the private family areas of the house.
Our design challenge for the Hi-Lo Hotel was to create a space that met the client’s vision; an elegant marriage of high and low.
Situated above a stream that pumps more than 300,000 gallons of crystal-clear water through its site each day, Streamline House is designed for its local vernacular. Drawing inspiration from the site’s natural stream, the power and elegance of flowing water is celebrated in the transposition of traditional forms.
Situated against a secluded bluff in the Davis Mountains of far west Texas, The Prow is the first off-the-grid Porch House. The house is a simple design protected by a single long-gable roof.
The Peninsula Neighborhood, in the heart of East Dallas, is located on the Northeast shore of White Rock Lake – the City’s urban oasis. Perch Haus sits atop a small parcel fronting White Rock Lake Park and borders the popular 9-mile trail that surrounds the lake.
The residence is composed of three rectilinear masses varying in size and tone; each clad in a distinct corrugated metal siding with a subtle change of finish. From the street the residence appears to rest on an island which is accessed only by a bridge.
The Chelsea Pied-à-Terre Apartment is an East Coast home for a professional couple who permanently reside in Vancouver, British Columbia. Prior to the renovation, the post-war layout had a cramped enclosed kitchen isolated from the windowed living area.
