This house comprises two apartments with a total area of 157sqm and is located in Mount Lawley, Western Australia. It’s called Two Apartment House, and it is the new home of Etica Studio building designer Carla Karsakis and her husband Ben, an urban designer at Creative Planning and Design.
Comprising of two apartments, this clever and compact multiple dwelling development has a unique response to site constraints, views, orientation and private ownership.
Each apartment, an exploration in compact, inner city warehouse living, has been carefully considered with a unique interior and relationship to the outdoors, whilst collectively the overall building has referenced the varied character of surrounding neighbourhood and presents as an abstract collage of materiality and pattern.
