Aptitude Software’s previous office space was beginning to feel antiquated and did not suit their post-pandemic work model. A relocation presented an opportunity for the fintech company to reinvigorate their brand identity with a contemporary office space that accurately reflected their business. Through a series of workshops and furniture showroom visits, Oktra developed a neutral colour palette and a sleek, understated design that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for employees and leaves a lasting impression on clients.
The new office on Cheapside features large windows that span south-facing side of the building, offering an unrivalled view of St Paul’s Cathedral and ample natural light for employees. Mirror-cladded columns surround the teapoint; further enhancing light levels in the centre of the space and creating an impressive welcome area for visiting clients. The transformed office space reflects the technology and finance expertise of our client and contributes to a renewed perception of their business.
After monitoring their occupancy levels, Aptitude Software found inefficiencies in their workplace due to changes in the way they work and chose to downsize. The new design has a smaller footprint, but greater functionality and connectivity that will enable the office and its users to perform at their best. Whilst half of the open plan space is dedicated to desking, the other half features a variety of collaborative work zones – from booth seating and touchdown meeting areas to individual and larger, formal meeting rooms. The range of work settings cater to task-based working and are fitted with in-built technological solutions that enable blended working.
Aptitude Software’s new office forms a hub for staff that prioritises their wellbeing. Breakout areas are furnished with comfortable soft seating to encourage collaboration and informal interaction with colleagues, whilst the calming colours featured throughout the design contribute to a positive workplace experience. The client re-used desks from the previous office and employed recyclable materials, such as the natural cork panelling that sits behind the joinery booths, helping to achieve a SKA Gold rating for this office fit out.
