We sensitively extended into the rear garden to create a new light-filled playroom at ground level and a suitably moody bar and cinema in the basement, as well as reorganising the existing plan of the three-storey home.
The key to the design… is hydraulic lime! Hence the name Lime House. To transform a 95 sq m derelict shop on a tiny site in a Conservation Area into a spacious four bedroom family house!
Parnell Facade project is a single storey rear extension to an existing post war bungalow in Elsternwick, Victoria, Australia. The main challenge of this project was creating a strong design concept around a poor previous extension.
Our response is to use an eclectic but carefully chosen palette of materials and colours to give the house this painterly and textured quality. A main component of the design is a concrete and timber tree which rises from the garden.

The Polar house, being situated on a laneway access road, offered a unique opportunity in its site condition. This well used neighbourhood thoroughfare is a popular and informal alternative to the nearby Bathurst Street.
Having lived in this modest mid-century rambler for a few years, the owners had developed a deep love for their very friendly neighborhood – a 60s development of similar one-story brick-faced homes close-in to the city.
This vintage rambler sits in a 1960’s builder’s subdivision, and had not been touched. Guiding the design were classic modernist principals espoused by Mid-Century greats like Richard Neutra and Joseph Eichler.
The Brooks House required a full scale renovation, and 2-storey addition to create a cozy family-home in the inner east of Melbourne. Indoor – outdoor living using the abundance of natural light in this combined area.
In 2017, the townhouse owners contacted Montreal architect Guillaume Lévesque for a very unique renovation project. They wanted to transform an old 1880s duplex into a multi-unit and harmonize the original style of the building with a decidedly contemporary and uncluttered addition.
