Drawing Inspiration from Barcelona’s Vibrant Life
The inspiration for this luxury Barcelona apartment design draws from the culturally vibrant life of Barcelona and high-end fashion. The eclectic palette of rich, quality materials adds integrity and authenticity to the space. Moreover, raw wood is mixed with metals, suedes, and high-gloss surfaces. This combination creates a sensory experience, transforming the apartment into a harmonious blend of luxury and culture.
Distinctive Character in Every Room
Each room in this Barcelona apartment has its own unique character. They boast rich textures and polished raw materials. For example, stained oak woods, bespoke vertical brass screens, modern cladding, and lacquered paneling create a cohesive yet diverse aesthetic. Consequently, this approach results in a homogeneous space that feels both luxurious and inviting.
Minimalistic Yet Modern Ambience
The apartment exudes a minimalistic and modern ambience with a mix of masculine and feminine finishes throughout. Additionally, the furnishings are an eclectic mix of carefully curated pieces. These are combined with personal artworks from the owners’ collection. This blend of styles adds depth and personality to the interior.
Creating an Intimate and Moody Interior
“We wanted to create an intimate, warm, and moody interior that we found was common in a lot of high-end boutique stores,” says ARRCC partner and project leader Mark Rielly. He continues, “Masculine colors and darker woods provide clues to the African rhythms. To build on this, we took a relaxed approach to curved shapes, adding draped leather sofas and details such as the vintage endocrine coffee table.”
Highlighting Art and Focal Points
The feature timber ceiling that runs down the rear of the dining table allows ARRCC to highlight one of the client’s important artworks. This artwork anchors the space. It also creates a focal point in the length of the open-plan living room, thus enhancing the room’s overall aesthetic.
Elegance in the Main Bedroom
In the main bedroom, faceted marble ledges live alongside feminine geometric wall lights. Additionally, the space is adorned with decor trimmings of distressed leathers and plush suedes. Soft cream window drapes complete the look, creating a balanced and elegant retreat.
Streamlined Kitchen Design
The kitchen features streamlined elements of textured wood and charcoal stone, maintaining consistency with the apartment’s overall style. Furthermore, in the surrounding circulation spaces, dark wood wraps onto the walls. This is contrasted with Venetian plastering on the opposite walls, adding depth and contrast.
Bespoke Features and Unique Elements
Further bespoke features include a contemporary take on an African fire element on a faceted ledge in the TV lounge. Moreover, the playful carbon fiber organic dining table, OKHA vases by renowned glass blower David Reade, and jewel-like chain lights add a feminine touch. These elements contribute to the apartment’s unique character and refined atmosphere.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this luxury Barcelona apartment design successfully blends cultural vibrancy with high-end fashion. This creates a space that is both modern and authentic. The careful selection of materials, eclectic furnishings, and bespoke features result in an intimate, warm, and sophisticated interior. Ultimately, the apartment stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful design in transforming living spaces into personalized works of art.
