When Studio Bloco Arquitetura took on the CR Apartment project, the goal was clear: transform a compartmentalized flat into a spacious, welcoming haven for a couple and their young child. By rethinking walls and flows, the architects turned a hectic routine into a sanctuary. Now, every corner breathes comfort, light, and effortless socializing.

Embracing Fluid, Open Spaces

First and foremost, the design team demolished key partitions, merging formerly separate rooms into one continuous area. Consequently, the elevator core now anchors the living zone, acting as both a focal point and a natural divider. Around it, the living room, gourmet dining area, kitchen, and laundry nook flow seamlessly. This open-plan strategy not only maximizes daylight and ventilation but also invites family interaction at every turn.

Central Design Elements and Smart Layouts

Moreover, Studio Bloco’s ingenious “slatted plan” ties together public and private realms. Wooden slats echo the lines of sliding doors leading to the bedrooms, closet, and guest powder room—creating a visual rhythm that’s both elegant and functional. In addition, the barbecue grill was relocated and inverted, transforming a former kitchen entrance into a sleek breakfast bar. As a result, quick meals blend effortlessly with weekend gatherings.

Meanwhile, the core structure — a block of warm wood and natural stone — conceals ambient lighting fixtures. This design choice not only highlights the material beauty but also ensures an inviting glow after dusk. Furthermore, the living room volume, clad in miraculous Miracema stone, houses the TV and fireplace. Cleverly, the same stone facade hides a technical closet, maintaining a clean, uncluttered look.

Natural Materials and Timeless Comfort

Finally, the CR Apartment proves how spatial optimization and thoughtful material choices can meet every client demand. By combining Miracema stone, rich wood tones, and cutting-edge technology, the result feels both cozy and enduring. Indeed, the space promises relaxation, family bonding, and friendly get-togethers for years to come.
