Lawrence Stoller is a pioneer in the art of sculpture in Megagems (cut minerals and rocks, plus precious), known for its spectacular works, inclusively several of the existent largest gemstone sculptures. Many of his creations made through the lapidary art and sculpture, are executed in crystals of impressive sizes and they enhance the individual character of each mineral design. Besides sculptures and decorative pieces, Lawrence Stoller has realized some spectacular and unique tables, carved in amethyst and mounted on bronze and glass frames. Seen from above, through the glass of the table, the amethyst gives you the feeling that you are admiring a tropical reef in a glass bottomed boat. The flat surfaces, clean, clear and without distortions amplify the visibility over the crystal and presents us the captivating beauty of the amethyst.
The accuracy of the angles and the geometrical symmetry reveals to us the complex aesthetic and brings forward the existent inertial life force from the natural crystals. Given that each crystal is unique, there cannot exist two similar works. All the works are masterly made by CrystalWorks artisans in the workshops near Sisters, Oregon, USA.
