Hudson Woods is a collection of retreat houses in nature, located in Kerhonkson, New York, in the Hudson River Valley. The project is developed, projected and built by Lang Architecture and team, offering an architecture and modern design which in the same time is simple, focused on comfort and on exploiting the natural beauties of the areas.
The project is ample and it covers 26 energy efficient modern houses, made on large lots, placed in the forests and meadows of a 131 acres area. With an emphasis on responsible land use, including active forest management and on-site agriculture, Hudson Woods aims to nurture and protect the extraordinary natural beauty of the region.
The interior of Hudson Woods house is modern, warm and welcoming with an abundance of white oak surfaces. The house is very open to the landscape and to the sunlight, having the facade made of large windows and the sides are also equipped with large windows. As it can be concluded from the photos, Hudson Woods is an oasis of peace and tranquility, away from any bustle of the modern city.
