Step into a modern interior in dark tones, designed by Marina Mirasova, where contemporary elegance and comfort redefine a 100 m² apartment in Moscow.

This bright and contemporary project was created by interior designer Marina Mirasova for a dynamic young entrepreneur. “I was tasked with creating a stylish and dynamic space that would match the owner’s lifestyle and preferences,” explains the project’s designer.

The 100 m² apartment, with its stunning city center views, is located in the iconic Clock Tower building on New Arbat in Moscow. The client asked Marina to completely transform the apartment’s appearance within four months. The main requirement was for a dignified and solid interior that transcends time in a modern style. Given that the building is a monument of architectural heritage and all walls are load-bearing, the layout remained unchanged.

The interior was created from scratch. Although the client likes dark, rugged colors, he wanted the interior to feel cozy, not gloomy. Marina suggested turning the hallway into a focal point by painting it a deep shade called EL MAR, evoking the hues of ocean waves and sea foam. The centerpiece of the entrance composition is a striking metal artwork by Konstantin ZMOGK.

The living and dining area is unified by a single color palette. The background gray color makes the space look restrained yet dynamic. Warm shades of gold in accessories and lighting fixtures provide a contrast, along with black found in some decorative details. Natural wood used in wall finishes adds warmth, coziness, and solidity to the space, enhancing the dark gradient of the color palette. The custom-made furniture, including doors, partitions, and wall panels, crafted according to the designer’s sketches, lends a sense of completeness and integrity to the space.

“In my view, a space that fosters relaxation after a busy workday is highly beneficial. All the solutions we used in the project will remain relevant for a long time. This makes the interior exactly as we originally envisioned it with the client,” concludes designer Marina Mirasova.
