Split Villa is a renovation to a villa in the Auckland suburb of Sandringham. The project involved the design of a new addition that steps gradually through three split levels down to create an easy connection from the living spaces to the landscape.
Outward Bound, a recently renovated waterfront retreat located on Orcas Island in Washington State designed by the Seattle-based firm Heliotrope Architects. In updating the interior and exterior, the design firm opened up the home to scenic water and mountain views beyond which had been previously closed off.
As an early childhood education institution, Pony Running Daycare Showroom is widely cherished for its rich teaching system. A small class structure stands at the core of its educational concept, focusing on the personality needs and potential of every child.
In the north eastern part of Ljunghusen, next to the Falsterbo channel, the forest is lower and slightly more sparse. The ground consists only of sand. In this scene, we have placed this summer house for a family of four.
This additions project is located amongst jarrah and peppermint forest and grafts a contemporary pavilion onto an existing timber framed and clad house. The new work consists of a reading / living room and master bedroom with bathroom and is linked to the existing house by a transparent gallery.
Based on a study of the terrain, we identified two striking visuals: the rear of the property, with a beautiful forest landscape; and the front of the lot, which offers an ample view of the setting sun with a field of orange trees in the background.

My family bought land in South of France’s Vaucluse department in the early 2000s. At the time, a small farmhouse sitting in the forest nearby had been weathering away for more than a decade. It stood on its hill, fading comfortably into the landscape.
