A historic manor house is transformed into a restaurant and beach club. Conceptually, the new venue follows the same principles of restaurant 212 in Amsterdam, featuring ‘no table seating’, an open kitchen with bar-height seating directing the guests’ focus on the chefs, stimulating interaction.
On the existing front facade of this Greenwich Village row house, a vast majority of the existing brick was damaged beyond repair or in poor condition and brick was patched with cement at other areas.
Our task was to create a place where the owners of a spacious four-room apartment, in the center of Minsk will be able to relax and meet their guests. The apartment had a complex layout, with which we had to work a lot with.
The architecture on this residence for a young couple is a study in strong simple composition and materiality with an emphasis on craft. The massing defines solid and void, captures natural light, and connects the indoors with the landscape, seeking to ‘experience the outdoors from within.’
Shiraiwa house is located in north of Hamamatsu city in Japan, and it is surrounded by mandarin plantation on mountain which is feature of the area. Its interior space are equally divided into two different sections, Indoor and semi-outdoor space,
