The private spaces of the Park Slope Duplex apartment are organized along a long wall painted a deep blue-gray. A new bath was added off the master bedroom, with both finished in shades of light blue and gray.
The Cunningham House project consisted of a major renovation and addition to a 1950’s bungalow in West Vancouver. Splyce Design together with builder Blackfish Homes, have completed this modern family home for a couple and their two children.
The Lui House enthusiastically embraces this odd and archaic approach to street-making, by taking the best elements of the neighbouring houses and re-assembling them into a muted face that is agreeable enough to not stand out, but atypical enough to suggest a rich inner world.
As the sun’s patterns make themselves visible through the two story space at the core of the Nob Hill apartment, it’s easy to see how the intersection of natural light and art define the architecture of the space.
The kitchen is the hub of the River Retreat with the deck slicing through the plan. The living space steps down into a light filled volume reaching out to the river.
Set on top of a forested ridge separating downtown Portland and the suburban sprawl of Beaverton, OR, Wildwood house is a rural retreat and primary residence hidden within the metro area of the Pacific Northwest.
Those two separate buildings combined into one complex which inspired as a small, spiral, village, in the middle of the beautiful area of Neve Tzedek at the heart of Tel-Aviv.
To describe Bedwardine Road house as a labour of love would be an understatement. It is more like an epic struggle against insurmountable odds. This is true for us and for the owners, whose unwavering determination drove this project through to such a beautiful conclusion.
