Red Frog Events Offices was designed by Nelson Studio in Chicago, US. From the zip line to the slide, the trees to the (code compliant!) tree houses, Red Frog Events has some of the most creative office space in Chicago.
Description by Nelson: When Red Frog Events – a rapidly growing firm that is consistently recognized as one the “best places to work” in Chicago and was ranked ninth on the 2012 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing privately-held companies in the U.S. – asked for a workspace that incorporated sliding boards, hanging ropes and climbing walls, it was fully expected that there would be budget challenges and permitting issues.
One key to success was close collaboration with the trades. For example, the general contractor’s first instinct for a tree house was to bid it out to a millworker, which did not result in the most economical solution. Instead, framing carpenters were asked to build the tree house just as they would for their children in their own backyards. NELSON team members worked closely with the builders to ensure that the structure would support adult “happy campers” and pass inspection.
Soon after moving into their new office, Red Frog Events had simultaneous meetings taking place in the tree house, Lego conference room and tent huddle space and that was the moment they atest the NELSON team nailed it in design and utility.
The office is now Red Frog’s perfect workspace, bringing together fun and functionality better than they ever thought possible. Visitors that walk through the front door of Camp Red Frog leave impressed, a testament to the NELSON team’s experience and creativity makingt making the client’s dream office a reality.
