Elegance and serenity as a starting point. This is how Sant Just House began, an 820 m2 project of Architecture, Interior Design, Decoration and Construction – carried out by the construction company The Room Work – where all the interior and exterior rooms of the house are totally connected.
Sant Just House Project
The starting point for this house was a plot of land provided by the client, where the architectural project was carried out from the architectural design to the exterior design and landscaping. The house is built around the needs of the owners, a young couple with two young children and an important social life. Comfort is sought throughout the house, not only aesthetically, but also thanks to solar, light and climate control. The aim is to integrate technology in order to feel it and enjoy it with all five senses but remaining totally integrated in each space.
The starting point was the idea of creating an architectural project without stridency, characterised by the elegance of its forms and the serenity of its materials. It is described as a house to be enjoyed, where each space is independent but integrated into the common language of the house. Therefore, on the ground floor is the day area to enjoy with family and friends. In the multi-purpose room there is a cinema area and another for the little ones, where a climbing system is created by playing with the height of the ceilings.
The kitchen, with an avant-garde and modern feel, is characterised by walnut wood that plays with black and white and opens onto the outdoor dining area with views of the swimming pool.
The upper floor is the sleeping and rest area. There is also the basement, where the car parking area, the general facilities and the gym are located. The garden area of the house blends perfectly with the rest of the house. A synergy is created between the exterior and interior for the enjoyment of the porch, the swimming pool and the green areas. Noble and sensorial materials have been used for the project, seeking different textures to create specific sensations in each space.
The aim is to create contrasts throughout the house, using oiled oak wood flooring together with oiled walnut wood cladding. In general, a very natural and soft chromatic palette is used, contrasting with touches of blues, terracottas and smoked glass throughout the house. The structure and design of the house is minimalist, created with a cubic stone form that plays with the thin black aluminium profiles and details that hide the fixed panels.
