Savor is first and foremost a place to educate students in the culinary arts. Operated by the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), Savor functions as a full-service teaching restaurant where students learn and hone their skills while working with professional chefs, restaurateurs, and teachers.
On this short and linear urban plot, these two basic rectangular forms fit across and down the length of the lot, exploiting the opportunities of using the entire site to engage indoor-outdoor living spaces on every level.

In an area of Wyoming known for it’s 20,000 SF, multilevel, seldom-used vacation homes, this modest one level structure serves as a primary residence. Nestled into the top of the ridge, Ridgeline house is intended to embrace nature.
The convenient location of this large lot in west Austin attracted the new owners, but the 1980’s era suburban brick house that existed on the property didn’t align with their modern aesthetic, nor did it take advantage of the wooded natural setting.
