The renovation of a penthouse apartment from a 1900’s rowhouse (with a 1960’s conversion) into a modern live/work loft honors the eclectic heritage and unique character of the building, while unifying the details and streamlining the spaces.
For their Williamsburg Condo Renovation, the homeowners asked OAD Interiors to create a space that felt both warm and bright. Consequently, the design team introduced materials and finishes that bring a soft, welcoming glow. They also collaborated with local makers, ensuring the project captured the spirit of the neighborhood.
The renovation of the Spears Building Loft focused on celebrating the palimpsest of its histories while also introducing features that create a more welcoming home.
The client’s contemporary art and object collection feels right at home among light oak millwork, subdued marble accents, and contrasting black and white graphic tile and wall coverings.
This 3200 square foot Greenwich Street Loft was designed for a couple who live alone but will occasionally host their extended family. The master suite is an extension of the public space of the great room but can be closed off with a large pocket door.
