noa* was commissioned by the municipality of Völs to build a small, attractive swimming hut with attached public changing rooms and sanitary facilities that would complement the scenic setting.

Outward Bound, a recently renovated waterfront retreat located on Orcas Island in Washington State designed by the Seattle-based firm Heliotrope Architects. In updating the interior and exterior, the design firm opened up the home to scenic water and mountain views beyond which had been previously closed off.
In the north eastern part of Ljunghusen, next to the Falsterbo channel, the forest is lower and slightly more sparse. The ground consists only of sand. In this scene, we have placed this summer house for a family of four.
This Standing Camp (krakani lumi or place of rest) in Tasmania’s North East National Park is for the Aboriginal Land Council of Tasmania. The site fringes the northern edge of the Bay of Fires, and serves as a two night stop over for a 4 day guided walk through the cultural landscape, from wukalina – Mt William, to larapuna – Eddystone Point.
Tucked into the Hill Country canyons, the buildings of Canyon Preserve stair step down steep, rocky slopes of oaks, first growth cedar and hearty indigenous vegetation, creating a secluded and serene setting for this intimate house.
Located on a lazy bend of the Derwent River in Hobart, this house accentuates the drama of living on the water’s edge. Connections with the landscape oscillate between enclosure and embrace. A courtyard, a colonnade, ledges and terraces soften the distinction between house and landscape with a series of steps and paths.
Situated on a sloping site in the Santa Lucia Preserve, an ecological preserve in the Carmel Valley hills, this house is both responsive and respectful towards its environment in a community that emphasizes the preservation of natural and scenic resources and living in harmony with nature.
Belinda George was enchanted by her client’s emotional connection with the site and took inspiration from his childhood memories in his brief. Her response was a semi-circle design, which embraces the view and encourages social engagement.
