The Glass House is a new build house which references the form and materiality of the surrounding agricultural buildings. The house is designed to embed itself in a historic brick garden wall – a remnant of a former grand country estate.
The ground floor plan of Hennessey House has been completely transformed by removing partitions to create spacious living spaces, filled with daylight from a new floating cantilever extension and pitched glazed sized return.
The Slim Studio is a unique response to a common urban condition; the densification of city centres. Now more than ever, space is at a premium.
In later Victorian times, the status of the artist was improving. Chelsea was affordable compared to the West End, but still close. A number of artists’ studios were built and distinct artistic and bohemian communities were established.
Set in beautiful Hampshire, the brief for this project was to design a cottage where friends and family could spend long periods of time just next door to the prime residence within the existing Farm.
We set out to create a flat – Birch & Clay Refugio – for a family of five that maximised flexibility of spaces and storage solutions and reflecting the family’s links with Barcelona.
Extensive refurbishment and interiors fit out of a central london flat in a mansion block originally constructed at the turn of the last century. The works included substantial structural modifications altering the flat’s layout and introducing new services.
