Extensive refurbishment and interiors fit out of a central london flat in a mansion block originally constructed at the turn of the last century. The works included substantial structural modifications altering the flat’s layout and introducing new services.

The Somerton Long House is a two-storey, new-build dwelling in Somerton, Somerset, designed by Neil Choudhury Architects. The 350 square-metre project is built into a steeply sloping site and overlooks a pond, mill stream and garden designed by James Alexander Sinclair.
The proposal, located within the Winchester City Conservation area, comprises of a full width ground floor extension, extending 1500mm out from the existing rear extension footprint. The proposal is to utilise the ground floor extension to create a large open plan living area with a contemporary woodburner, playroom and kitchen area.
We have initiated a shift and reorientation of the house to face the back and formally address the garden. The walk through the garden should be seen as akin to a walk through the countryside – and its quilted fields.
A high-end loft extension maximising the properties potential by adding a fourth bedroom, dressing room and bathroom to a family home in Essex. The aim was to create a sleek luxurious retreat for the homeowners while adding an extra 25sqm of habitable space.
