London-based Amos and Amos Studio has skillfully transformed four former retail spaces in SW4 into loft apartments, each imbued with a distinct industrial factory essence. Tasked with this ambitious project, the design team aimed to infuse a modern loft aesthetic while honoring the historical architectural elements characteristic of the area.
To achieve the desired spaciousness and structural functionality, the floor level was lowered, which permitted the incorporation of a mezzanine level. This new upper level is elegantly accessed via a gun metal grey open staircase that originates from the double-height living room, adding a dramatic touch to the interior architecture.
The apartments feature a slate grey Shaker-style kitchen that blends traditional design with modern flair, complete with brass handles and pendant lighting, adding a refined yet industrial quality to the space.
Diversity in style is a key feature of the apartment, with each of the two bathrooms presenting a distinct theme. One bathroom channels a raw, utilitarian vibe with reclaimed timbers, stainless steel sinks, and factory-style brassware, encapsulating the rugged beauty of industrial design.
